If you want to address the service or delivery businesses, then a V6 is the engine to have. Also imagine the retail customer's face when they've come from the Ford lot and get into the V6 truck: "Well, I don't see any difference between this and the F-150..." And the salesman says, "
Well, of course! This is the V6. Wait until you drive the V8 truck!!"

Part of my job is to check the news wires daily. The International/Ford thing is getting nasty: Ford is claiming that it's International's engines (and then Ford went off to begin developing their own engine - in violation of their non-compete agreements with International); and now International is claiming it's also Ford's programming that is failing to operate the engines within known, specified, and reasonable limits.
