You can always handload for your 7.62X39, that way you can use what ever bullet you want. I have been loading for many years and if you ever start it you can't stop.
I also reload, but I haven't yet reloaded 7.62X39. I think the 7.62 uses a .311 bullet, instead of a .308 bullet that is found in the U.S. .30 call bullets. I also use a .30-06, but this bullet is for my kids. I will look and see if I can find some bullets I can reload for it.
