I did something similar, but used rubber pads underneath the OEM square rubber pads ('04 CC.) It gave just a wee bit more room above the surrounds, but every bit helps. The seats still latch. Overtime the pads have got flattened out from passengers. I may have upgrade to what you've done here, looks good. BTW, no change in seat comfort/headroom (not sure what all the fuss is about) but I do have a CC.
