Never said it was small, but in comparison to all other half-ton pickups at the time (GM, Ford, Dodge) it was small. 6000lb, really? Must have had some lead hidden in the frame rails.



Only in length when comparing CC models IIRC. I'd hardly call that "larger."
The last Tundra, although an inch off the Titans height, was about 6 inches longer and, going by Toyotas numbers of 79.7 inches, was a touch wider than the Titan also. So it was a larger truck. But nowhere near as capable.
True, half tons today are closer to 1 tons in capacity but not really strong enough to do real heavy duty work day in and day out.
