Brown's Nissan in Sterling
|
I bought my truck back in Nov 2004 from Brown's Nissan in Fairfax. I live in Ashburn now and have taken my truck to Brown's in Sterling a few times. They've done some things decent, but I have not been able to talk to them about what I feel is a problem with my truck's ABLS (I don't think it kicks in quick enough, if at all). The service manager flat out told me my truck doesn't have it, therefore there was nothing to fix. Somehow that's how he interpreted what he looked at in the owners manual, no matter how hard I tried to tell him differently. The tech in the shop he consulted with said it didn't have ABLS either. I've got a 4x4 with the Off-Road package. EVERY 4x4 has ABLS, even the one's with the OR e-lock rear. I showed him the original window sticker that said it had ABLS, I showed him the 2004 marketing brochure I kept that talks about it, no dice, he wouldn't budge. Idiot. I called 800-NISSAN to complain and ask for technical assistance, and their only suggestion was to try another dealership. I was VERY disappointed with their response, total lack of customer service, and it was NOT easy to get in touch with them. I was going to try the new Nissan dealership in Chantilly but now you guys are saying it sucks? My truck just passed 3 years of age so I'll be taking it to local shops for most stuff now, but things like ABLS, you'd expect a dealership to know what it is! I think the problem is that there just aren't that many Titans out there, relative to other Nissan models, and the techs just don't see them that often.
