Re: CB where mounted and model
I mounted a full size Cobra 29 under my driving seat. I put a couple of brackets on the cb that angles the face up a little and holds it in place on the carpet. Never had a problem. I have memorized the buttons so I can reach down and do any adjustments I need to. I usually keep on ch 19 but I can just count the clicks a go to any channel I need to. I also like the fact that no one can see the cb in the truck. I brought the coax up under the front seat and picked up the power from the console 12v receptacle. I use my tie down clips on the front rail of the bed to mount my antenna. I put a small L- BRACKET off the tie down clip and mounted the antenna to it. Now I can slide the antenna side to side or leave it in the center. The rails are grounded to the bed and my cb works great. I took my cb to a trucker cb shop and they tuned it from 5 watts to over 20 watts for $25.
