It won't hurt anything. The ECU will always retard or advance the timing according to what you're driving style is and the fuel you're feeding it. The advance is also within Nissan specs and will not kill your warranty. I believe that there is actually a +/- 5* of timing that can be changed from factory settings without hurting your warranty.

So - the pros are that once you add an exhaust and an intake you'l really feel it. The cons are it's hard to find a dealership that has the proper Consult III that will do it for you without charging an arm and a leg for shop time.

This mod is one of the easiest and one of the best out there in my humble opinion. Go for it!
