You sir, may want to do some more research. I know for a fact that the Ford 7.3s will get 20+ MPG and that was with 35s. Mine would get 19 or so in town, and 22-23 on the highway (01 ext cab, long bed, 4x4 lariat with a 4" lift on 35s) and that was with the Superchips programmer, Exhaust and cai. My dad's first Superduty (98.5 4 door short bed 4x4) would also get around the same, and it had a leveling kit and 33s with exhaust, programmer, and cai. Now I know the 7.3s are slow compared to all the newer Diesel's, but they are virtually indestructable and they get great fuel mileage with a programmer.
