You can build a fine AR for $600. Check out
DEL-TON before you build.
Where you spend the most $$$$ is all the tactical goodies you hang on the rifle once it's built.
My last build: Stag lower w/6 position stock, Armalite 16 inch HBAR upper and a few extra small add-ons. $650
