not quite. The wire at the ecu only does one thing. Cuts throttle voltage when the connection is made. So what I plan on doing is makeing it think the brake is on. If you go out to your truck and take out the bottom pressure switch off your brake pedal (whole thing). It comes off easy. Then with the switch hanging ther go drive the truck. You can still get up to speed and drive normally just that the ecu is only giving you 35-40% throttle. Try taking off with some decent pedal, then reach down and push the pressure switch in. The truck comes alive.
So if I run a second switch to the wire at the ecu then it will cut power and no one will be beating on my truck but me.
The would be no ill effects. Lights still work and the engine knows no different.
