I mounted my prodigy just to the left of the hood release, and it attached to the metal frame under the dash, it in reach just in case I need to my brakes while pulling my trailer. I think most people have mounted theirs by there right knee (above the input for the ECM) just make sure you stay within the angles that is allowed by the controller.
