I never said the Mini 14 was superior to an AR except in price. And if I was dropped off in Iraq and had a choice between a Mini 14 or AR 15, give me the AR hands down. Both guns are really in different classes, the price prove that.
Now if a new and improved version of the mini 14 was created that cost over a thousand dollars then maybe we would have a race. I just said I’m not crazy about the AR-15 mainly because of the price and the two things in my previous post. I wasn’t really trying to make a comparison between the two. Thou we can if you like

could be fun!
I do like the .223 round, it’s fun to plink with and blow up rocks at a 100 yards. I know many people think its too light for a military round but I think the extra ammo you can carry makes up for it.
