If you move the HD set forward a couple inches, you will be clamping it to one leaf instead of two. I don't know if that will make a difference, but I do know the stock cheapo band clamp on the leafs will not get destroyed or fall off if you clamp the Hellwigs down tight. Yeah it's clamped on the two springs right now, I think I'll move it forward to just the one spring.
And yes, I did order the HD set. LOVE THEM.
