How heavy is your boat? I tow mine all over New Mexico, but it's only 2500lbs. I also tow my TT through these mountains, and it's 8000lbs. if it's heavy just tow it in 4th and don't be afraid to drop it down into 3rd pulling some of the bigger mountains.
