As for the rear suspensions, they're different for reasons stated in the post I linked. But if you were planning on upgrading your boat, saving a couple hundred bucks by not opting for the factory tow package wasn't a good idea. However, I don't see anything in the tow equipped truck that would justify a full 2000 LB more towing ability. You'll probably be just fine.
