yes you are correct everyone is entitled to their own opinion. i do realize that i am putting a setup on a 2wd truck, but once again it is all a tax write-off. the lift, tires, axle(if needed), gears, lockers, whatever i do to my truck i get back. once again with that being said i dont care if **** breaks, it will just get replaced. yes it is my dd, but i also have a bike and an old s-10. so it wont be that big of a deal. no i dont take my truck through some horribly deep mud, cause even with boggers on it, it wont make it. but whatever my truck with boggers with go through it will be tested, dont doubt that. this truck does not see the pavement all the time. everytime water hits the ground im playing, and sometimes it is just that playing, but i have taken it through some deep deep stuff. gotten stuck. but i dont care. that is what a truck is made for to use not to show to someone about how you have x-amount of dollars in and it never even goes down a dirt road moreless a mud hole. as far as a truck with ifs and running 40's i dont know of one with 40's but know of several with 38's m/t's and they beat the hell of of their half-tons and nothing has gone wrong as far as the suspesion or powertrain goes. one buddy of mine has an 04 f-150 with 10" on 38 pro-comp x-terrain, granted yes they are m/t's but they arent boggers either. so yes there are trucks with ifs that could run 40's and beat the hell of them and not completely tear out rearends or axles. also you were saying your titan has more power than your 351 right? maybe. 351's completely stock yes have less power depending on the 351. they made 3 different 351's. if you have a modiffied or a winsor it could easly be pushing more than the titans 317hp if it has anything done to it.

I do not have a 351 in either of my Ford's, but regardless of the fact any stock 351 (Windsor, cleveland or modified) will have alot less power than a Titan, maybe you should thoroughly read my post where I clearly stated these were stock motor's, axles, and gears that I've seen this happen with not modified engine's. 38"s cannot be put in the same category as 40"s, think of the performance loss going from 35"s to 37"s, it's huge. That's like me saying "hmm I wonder why my Ford was fine for 2 years getting the crap beat out of it with 36" TSLs, then all of a sudden 4 trips after I put my 38" Bogger's on I tear it all to hell, I wonder why that happened, must've been a coincidence". If people are able to beat the crap out of IFS trucks on 40s, why have I never even seen anyone talking about doing this, much less seen it acually happen. The only IFS trucks on 40s I've seen are complete pavement pounder's. Everyone I know that plan's on going over 6"-8" of suspension lift on anything bigger than less agressive 37"s that actually offroads does a SAS. I wonder why, could it be that the IFS won't hold up to any real abuse, or is it that they just love to waste money and do tons of unnecessary work? Just give it up already, it's quite obvious that I know what I'm talking about, you don't own a 4x4 shop, and we're getting no where with all this bickering.
