Maxima diesel has already been announced to use the Renault V6 diesel based on the Nissan VQ architecture. This new engine will be showing up in other Nissan vehicles in time (besides the Maxima). Right now Renault is using most of the capacity so don't expect to see this engine in large quantities in the States. Which honestly is a shame because this is a cool engine.
I've been out of the trucks for a while but I'm glad to see that Cummins was brought in. The ITEC/Nissan relationship well... I think Nissan's expectations were too high and ITEC isn't known for their program management skills.
