Instead of trimming the fat (the most obvious way to save money) they say "we need to raise taxes."
We all say "No!"
They say "Well, we need to cut (insert programs here) then...".
We say "Ok, we'll pay higher taxes.."
They think "stupid feeble minded idiots... haha.. I am getting a raise and I still don't have to pay any tax on my income!"
It's basic business... you need to spend as much as or ore than your budget to get the same or higher budget for the next fiscal year. Who cares how you fund it.
