Lon, like it or not, admit it or not, we all miss now and then. It's never a good feeling, especially after spending the time in the woods and paying our dues, but it happens. Glad you were a good sport about it, some people wouldn't take it as well.

I went back to the "crime scene" this afternoon and found the tree that you "killed." It looks like you did in fact shoot high, probably right over old Toms head. I even took a walk in the woods just to make sure that we had not overlooked him last night. I didn't find so much as a feather. Believe me if he had been dead somthing would of found him last night and their would of been some evidence of somthing eating him.

We will give it a few days rest and try again when everything gets back to normal.

All in all it was a fun and exciting hunt, you don't always see the critter your after but it's always interesting.

Hopefully the neighbor will finish up with his yard work on your next hunt.
