Re: chip that gives better gas mil
This is like, the third thread on this I've seen in a week. I honestly figured that Titan owners would be mature enough to understand that this is a farce... or at least use the search button to find out that it is a farce.
One of the first mods I did on my ZX2 (well before boost and nitrous) was a modification where I attached potentiometers to the intake air temperature and coolant temperature sender wires. Crank up the resistance, the engine thinks it's in open loop mode, and it dumps more fuel into the tank and (more importantly) advances the timing substantially. 12 whp for a vehicle that starts out with about 110 whp is nothing to sneeze at.
However, that car, even with its 10 year old technology, had a computer that learned out permanent resister chips like those sold on ebay. You'd see power gains at first, sure, but after a while the computer would learn it out. Either that, or it would never engage your cooling fan, and your engine would overheat on I-5 one day while sitting in traffic and that would be the end of that.......
Will somebody sticky this somewhere, perhaps under the title "Regarding Ebay chips: for any questions READ HERE" or something to that effect?
Andrew
