Keeping your foot out of it is the only way to help. The 2* Timing Advance helped me lightfoot it a little better but that's been only 1 or maybe 2 MPGs. The K&N Filter has not affected my MPGs at all and I cannot imagine it would unless the old one was dirty and it's just a matter of getting a clean filter in there. FWIW, the AirFlow is restricted a little by the intake tube sticking 1/2 way down into the airbox so the K&N isn't going to help with what's already restricted. I cut the Top 3/4 of that tube out of mine (AirBox Mod) and that opened her up to breath quite a bit better but definitely did not help my MPG's because now I have to romp on it at least once a week for a grin.  |
Did you get a noticable difference in power or just sound?
