Re: Back-up cam

I have a license plate BU camera on the truck and just got a color + ir camera for the camper. The cool thing is I also got a hitch setup for the camera which is similar to my 7 pin connector I use on the camper. The umbilical attaches between the trailer and truck and is removable.

I got a video switcher too. My plan is to have video 1 auto-select to the truck backup camera when I'm in reverse. Video 2 will be the DVD player. Video 3 will be the backup camera on the camper. The backup camera on the camper will be powered when I am towing so that I can see what's behind me when I pass people + the backup function.

I still need to locate a backup wire in the dash for the video switcher and Street Pilot. Is there one near the head unit harness? I've read a VSS wire is present there so I'm hoping a backup wire is too.
