I could swallow this if you were in a 911 turbo, or Z06. They would take a 600cc bike from say 130 and up. The 300c SRT-8 is pretty fast for what it is, but it isn't that fast.
Back to the topic at hand. The rider in this story sounds like he was a decent rider if he kept up with this EVO at 5,000 rpm launch. Sounds like it was a good match up. This EVO sounds pretty bad, nice car!!
