Re: What to Get to detail it right:

Malco Imperial Paste Wax (anti swirl) $16 a can (the best wax I have ever used)
American racing Chrome-tech chrome cleaner $12
Ardex 6220 Dull away lemon sent. Water based interior dressing. Use this in motors too. $25 a gallon
Adrex 6209 Spot Remover, body prep, tar remover $20 a half gallon. Smells like mineral spirits. Used glove because it really burns.
Car Brite purple tire dressing silicone based $14 a gallon.
Malco Prizm Car Wash Soap Bubble Gum scented $10 a gallon
Adrex 5213 Car Wash Soap Blueberry
American racing wheel wax $12
Mirage car detailing brushes (square brush with handle, cylindrical brush, and tiny 3 piece brush set) and microfiber towels 12 piece variety set. All available at Advanced Auto Parts
California Water blade (the Original one) $20 at Wal-mart. (do not get the jelly blade)
Water sprite Chamois $14 (cut it into 2 to save money)
Malco glass cleaner Amoina free formula (for aftermarket tinted windows) $2.25 a can
GoJo Hand cleaner. $7- good for cleaning hands after detailing the vehicle completely. Available at Wal-Mart
Mesh sponge- $1.25 used for cleaning wheel crevices and bugs.
Q-Tips (cotton swabs)
Dawn dish soap (this removes all waxes). Available at Wal-mart.
Bounty paper towel or blue shop towels
Eagle One Tire dressing blocks $2 at Advanced Auto Parts
Razor blades-good for cleaning bugs of windshields and removing chew spit, smoke film. ( just be careful not to etch the windshield) Do not use on mirrors or rear view mirrors because it will etch them. Do not use on rear defroster because it will remove that coil strip.

Most of the these products that I mention are available to car detailing shops. Ask them if they would contact their distributor to sell you their merchandise.
Supplies will vary between car detailing shops.
Car Brite is made by Vavoline oil.

Do not use silicone based tire dressing on the engine. It does look better on the engine than a water based dressing but it’s flammable. Also, dust sticks to the engine more then with the silicone based dressing.

Do not use White wall cleaner straight on carpet because it will bleach the carpet
