I've heard (through posters on RV.net) that there are some issues installing 5th Wheel hitches in the Titan as well as the '04 F150. I just read a post this morning on this. You can go to www.rv.net, go to the forums and search for the word "titan." The post was recent, today or yesterday.

Aw heck, here's an excerpt of the post

In Jan. of this year, we had a customer come to us with a Titan, wanting a 5th wheel hitch installed to pull a horse trailer. I had seen the commercial for the 1st time just days before when she pulled in with this vehicle. After test driving the Nissan, and the "new" F150, she raced back to purchase the Titan, to replace a '99 F150. Then the fun began. After 2 weeks for calling suppliers, asking questions, measuring, we ordered a HJ 5th wheel to install. And it didn't fit. The frame rails measured 40" across...no other 1/2 ton measured near that. No matter how we turned the 5'ver rails and brackets, they wouldn't fit without hitting a fuel supply (or fill), shock bracket, or frame drop. We spent 3 more weeks measuring, calling every hitch manuf. we could find, searching mags, calling dealers (Nissan and RV), and countless hours on the 'net to get nothing. Finally, after talking with the customer at great length, and being assured she wanted the truck only for towing (didn't care about cost or warranty issues or hauling stuff in the bed), I crawled into the bed with a large piece of cardboard, ruler, straight-edge, and pencil to lay a template.

She now has a steel plate in her bed to accomodate the 5th wheel and pulls her 2-horser with quarters confidently, on-road and off-road. The Titan is a STRONG truck for it's class, and perhaps may be a "Pearl Harbor" on the standard 1/2 tons. It's well built, horsey where it counts, and is the only 1/2 ton to offer a coil spring front.

BUT, no matter the power, looks, handling, or salesman's fast talking, be sure the products you need to do what you want are available. I'm still trying to find a "fit" 5'ver for this.

Hope it helps.
