I have a Beltronics 955, very satisfied, though I will say that their customer service is for $hit. I had it repaired once, $65. To get the warranty, you have to buy it direct from them, and guess how much more they charge???

Anyway, V1 is superior of the 2 you mentioned. Look at the Radar Roy site from above, and here is another thread about the exact same thing:
