I'm still debating on whether or not to just cut the entire airbox from the round tube and install a K&N conical filter on it. It would be about a $50 mod versus $300. I just need to figure out what size inlet to get. The OD of the tube apears to be ~3", but that's just measuring with a tape measure from the box side. Does anyone have an outside caliper they can check the size with?

measure the circumference and divide by 3.14 to get the diameter. a K&N will compress a bit if its a little bigger. juma
