Hard to say, boat trailers sit most of the winter, get corrosion in the plug & wires and you plug in and "poof"...
First take a look at the trailer plug by pulling it apart to inspect were the wires go into the socket, are any touching each other?...

If that's all good, follow them (the wires)as they go down along the trailer, looking for possible damage causing a short...Also, did you change bulbs recently? maybe installing the wrong bulb, or installing it incorrectly?
