The tranny mount issue is really a 4wd problem and only on lifted trucks. But I see it all the time on trucks that tow or guys who like to accelerate hard. As the driveshaft plunges into the transfercase, it trys to push the TC up and forward and puts a lot of load on the mount, eventually this mount fails. Even though there is a slip yoke, there is still alot of "side loading" that puts a tremendous force, for a brief moment, into the tranny mounts. If the DS were at stock angles it would be much less likely to happen. But traction bars keep the axle from rotating and let the tranny mounts live a longer, happier life.
