Bummer, updates should be free. Can't believe Nissan is not giving them to customers on a request basis. Maybe a phone call or two could convince them to give it to you. Long shot, but doesn't hurt to try. Newegg hooked me up the other day with a refund because part sent was different than what was shown, same part different ver. Only $20, but you spent most likely over $30,000 on truck, they can't give you a CD that costs them maybe $10. I agree it ain't worth $190 to update. Bad press for Nissan, shame on them.

Added: I use a notebook gps from DeLorme currently costs $40 for upgraded maps software, updates are free, $70 for map software and usb gps receiver.
