I've been searching for a tool box to keep a set of emergency tools in for my Crew Cab Titan for a while now and I finally found one that I really like. It is the Craftsman part #65119 that sells for only $9.99. I wanted a toolbox that would store behind the back seat because I didn't want to store it under the back seat because when you flip the seat up to carry groceries or whatever it would be in the way. If stored there It would also slide around and end up in the way. I also didn't want to keep it under the front seats because I keep the Utilitrack tie downs in the box that they came in under the driver's seat. I keep the space under the passenger's front seat cleared out for my wife to hide her purse when she wants to leave it in the truck. The center console is full of CD's and a whole lot of other stuff. The side compartment is full of tie down straps, gloves, tow rope, and tow balls. This tool box nestles behind the larger section of the back seat that is behind the passenger's side. The tool box fits in there like it was made to go there.(see attached photos that show the space before and after the box is in place) There is no room for it to wobble around and make noise. The toolbox does not interfere with the seatbelt or any other mechanisms behind the seat. Because the toolbox is plastic it does not have edges that might make shreds of the upholstery and carpet. The box is fairly long so it will hold long stuff like flares, reflective triangles, etc. The next thing I am going to buy is a couple of craftsman pouches ( like the kind you put hand wrenches in) to wrap the tools in so that they don't make noise rattling around in the tool box.
If you would like to try this out, buy one the next time you are at Sears ( they keep them in stock) and try it out on their parking lot before you leave. If you don't like it, take it back right then. I think people will like it though.
