My brakes went bad in the mid-teens. Then, within the last 15,000 miles (since my warranty expired): radiator seam split ($500; 3rd party mechanic); transmission coolant lines ($420; Nissan service); axle seal ($385; Nissan service).
Just yesterday, while they were fixing the axle seal and doing the A/C consdenser recall, service dept called me to let me know that both of my exhaust manifolds have developed cracks and I can get them replaced for $1,900
By the way, has anybody been able to get these replaced under the 8 yr / 80M emissions warrranty (I'm at 75,000)? Service guy said that wouldn't fly because they can replace the catalic converter without replacing these attached manifolds.
I like this truck when it runs, but if the damn things start self-detonating at 61,000 miles it's no good. This is the most trouble I've had with a vehicle since my '85 camaro. What ever happened to the "extra quality" you get when buying imports?
