8.8 mpg-might be the mountains.

TimmyTitan,I bet the mountains caused a lot of the 8.8 mpg mileage.Since he was towing,he really couldn't let himself glide downhill to get back some of the energy he used pulling all that weight uphill.It will do better on flat roads.
Sammy Sandbag,I agree,the Titan is very maneuverable for a 224"truck;I don't notice much difference between it and my 217" long ,thinner Tundra Accesscab-except the Titan has a much lower step in so doesn't need tube steps,the Tundra sure did.
