Absolutely 100% correct. I burned up a 700R4 in no time flat. The new transmission came with a B&M temperature gauge, and I check it constantly.

The trans cooler side of the radiator on my old truck wasn't providing adequate cooling.

*Every* truck with an automatic transmission should have a temperature gauge. It's a $10 part that can save you thousands.
