hey miles, i honestly don't remember, think it was in one of the manuals. i for sure saw it though, it said it won't hurt anything to use it, just not necessary (it will waste a little gas i guess). 2000 lbs is nothing for this truck and the tow mode can be annoying sometimes, try both ways and see what feels best.
