Well you came to the same conclusion a lot of us have. After i did the same thing you did, i wanted to buy a few of those blanks if i ever decided to remove the switch or sell the truck. I came upon an OEM switch for fog lights from Nissan that fits perfect. Still bought a few blanks, but the switch would have helped tremendously if i had known about it before hand.
