Would a 2" spacer bolted to the top of the strut work.

It would make the overall length of the unloaded stut assembly 2" longer, but installed would it be the same height of a daystar installed kit?
If the length of the strut determines the height of the vehicle, then would the daystar installed strut be 2" longer when installed?

Tell me why a 2" spacer bolted to the top of the strut would or would not work.
