I worked in garages as a teen, and oil changes and grease jobs were the main thing I did. I was always taught the rear end was to be filled to the inspection/fill hole, or no lower then 1 knuckle of pinky down from top of inspection/fill hole.(aprox 1 inch) I checked mine, and could just get the tip of my finger to touch the oil at the second knuckle in the hole! (probobly 2 inches?) I had wife take truck to dealer, and they took it inside, and then told her the levels were fine!!!???? Have times changed, new standards applied when I wasn't looking? I am having a REAL hard time believing that is the level it is supposed to be at!
