I just had my remote start installed, it required me to install a new alarm using another remote.

All in all it cost me almost $400 installed. The remote start was just a perk that I opted for the real reason for the alarm was for automatic locks, which I had on my IS300, I really missed that feature so a new alarm was in order.

I did it at my friends shop Dynamic Turbo of Pembroke Pines FL. The alarm has a paging system that pages me if the alarm is set off or if someone at the cars location wants to page me. It also has a ton more features but I really haven't read up on the manuel yet.

I did lose the window down feature, this was because when the installer put in the modules for both the front and back windows for both up and down capabilities. The front windows were not responding to the alarm and would go down at random, this did not happen with the rear windows. So I concluded that there must be a conflict with the factory settings on the computer and that further testing would be needed to figure out a bypass for the conflict.

Oh well I gained 2 features and lost one
