First off, let me say I love my Nissan Titan.

This is my first truck as I have always been into the sport car scene (mustang, camaro, corvette, etc).

I wasn't hell-bent on a Titan. In New Orleans East, there is a string of dealerships - Nissan, Ford, Dodge.

I was actually considering a Silverado as I own a Corvette and would get $4k loyalty rebate + invoice price.

I was very upfront with the salesman and told him I wasn't sure what truck I was going to buy. I told him he was my first stop and I was going to test drive everything (dodge, ford, etc) and then make a decision. I also told him I wanted to pay invoice only as the truck market is very competitive and if I didn't get that, I didn't think I was going to buy a Titan.

He was very cool, agreed, and I test drove the owner's truck - a fully loaded LE.

I told him I liked it a lot and would come back to him if I bought a Titan even though there was a Nissan dealership 10 minutes from my house (he was 30 min away).

After driving the ford and dodge, I called him 2 hrs later and told him I would be back on Sat (it was Friday night) to work something out.

I had some trouble with trade ins and some broken promises but the owner (Mr. Dennis Lamarque) of Lamarque Nissan stepped in and did more by right by me.

My truck stickered for $39,850:

2004 Nissan Titan Crew Cab LE

(every option in the world other then 4x4) - nav, rear dvd, LE, sonar, etc.)

I ended up paying 33600 which was 500 under true invoice with no other fees - no destination, prep, etc.

I then got my 1.9% financing from Nissan and with trade - it worked out to right under 30k.

So 39,800 to 33,600 works out to $6200 discount.

Mr. Lamarque was incredible to me and has earned a customer for life. I was originally going to either order a car or use the locate feature as they didn't have the exact truck I was looking for (Smoke or Deep Blue LE). I compromised with him and bought the most loaded truck on his lot (Crew Cab LE - white) and in return - he made the best possible price he could.

I highly recommend dealing with and the salesperson I had (Joey) rather then anyone else there.

A deal (price) was important to me so the time I spent negotiating was well worth it in my opinion.
