I basically bought mine for the interior. I needed 4x4 to drive ungroomed sections of beach/coastline to get to where I typically surf/fish. I have never had the E-locker on any other vehicle except this one and I haven't felt the need to even engage mine except for a couple of times when trying to figure out exactly how it works. Even without the E-locker engaged the truck's 4 lo system pulls effortlessly thorugh some of the deepest sand I have driven through. As for mud, I will let you know when flood/dove season rolls around.
