Tough Call. I think if you decided to do it, the chrome would have to really look like it was not an aftermarket idea. IE: the big thing is will it match the factory chrome handles, mirrors, and grille?
The other thing is you may get way too addicted to chrome. I had a brand new Jeep Wrangler back in 95 and decided to add some chrome nerfs. Then I added a Chrome bumper. Pretty soon it was covered in diamond plate and everything down to the gas cap cover and window latches were chrome. It looked pretty sweet for a monster offroader, but gawdy and a fortune for a road vehicle.
Black and Chrome could look pretty good really, but you would need more than just some extra molding to get that chrome/black balance; making it even more difficult to all look like the same chrome versus a pepboys special.
