From the owners manual...From what I understand, they hired some engineers to figure this stuff out.

Here are their opinions:

These are the US measurements:
Front final drive oil 3-3/8 pt GL-5 Viscosity SAE 80W-90 *9
Rear final drive oil 4-1/4 pt GL-5 Viscosity SAE 80W-90 *9

*9: For hot climates, viscosity SAE 90 is suitable for ambient temperatures above 0° C (32° F).

Me again> If you choose to run synthetic...Mobil 1 75W-90 or Redline 75W-90 will both meet these GL-5 standards...which is a requirement, not an option.
