I noticed that not only are the install instructions piss poor and they are but they are not current with respect to the lastest version. Only one mounting hole is present in the CAI box although the instructions indicate ( 2 ) mounting holes. Called Volant, and was brought up to speed on a number of questions I had.
I've received better,(more detailed) instructions from a $20.00 Model.
There was no mention of installing the rubber seal from the air box to fender well or what exaclty it was intended for. I also received 2 flat sections of rubber matting, one side adheasive, no mention what that was for.
For a $200.00 plus kit, they could do a bit better. Had to *****.
First question, any reason why we couldn't simply use the existing mounting gromets from the Factory air filter box as opposed to what Volant supplies?
#2 Any thoughts on re-using the Factory tube that enters the fender well?
#3 I purchased the Hyperflow Intake tube and it does not fit my model SE OFF-ROAD. How exactly would it fit? No install instructions included with it.
Last, the accessory hole at the bottom of the CAI box whick I assume would be for the Hyperflow tube, is currently open. Should this be closed off or no big deal either way?
Thanks Marc

Marc,
I think that the Hyperflow Intake tube is supposed to go from the air filter box to the hole in the bumper.
As for the open hole where the Hyperflow tube would go. You should seal it of so that the hot air from the engine compartment is not drawn into the engine. All of the air should come from either the fender well area, or the ram air inlet (Hyperflow tube). The colder the air is, the denser it is, and you will develop more horsepower. Not sure about the other aspects of your installation...but I am sure that others will help you.
