For almost every guy towing theres 2 camps...

1) My truck is rated to tow x,xxx lbs so there should be no problem doing so, and the manufacture should already have a safety factor built in.

2) Why kill my truck, so I'll tow no more then 75-80 percent of it's rating and my truck will last a little longer....

I'm not going to bag on the camp I'm not in, but IMHO I just don't believe in towing at 100% except for short tows...And I'd feel the same way if I had a 3/4 ton truck, too much trailer for that and I should be looking for a 1 ton truck...

Where things in my mind get real sticky is too much length.... A 33 ft trailer is a whole lot of tail wagging the dog for a 1/2 ton truck...

I replaced the factory air in my tires with a Citrus scented air package...
Oh yeh....I replaced the screw that holds on the mirror with a trick black oxide one that nobody will see or care about...
