Re: make speedo stop working?

IMO going 15mph over the speed limit in town is probable cause to ask to look in the vehicle. That is a substantial amount over the speed limit, especially on the July 4th with a lot of people are drinking and driving. On the HWY it may be seen different, doing 70 in a 55 with everyone else. One thing I have been told by friends that are LEO is to never let them search your vehicle without a superior onsite. Never let two patrol officers do the search, always have a comander, seargent, captain or what ever onsite. You can make the request, don't be an asshat about it either. If you have nothing to hide fine, still have a superior. If you have soemthing to hide, refuse the search. You have a 50/50 chance they won't try for a warrant. Search with or without a warrant your in trouble either way so you might as well make them earn their money.
