Don't mess with the spark plugs - keep the NGKs. At this point, pull and clean the sparkies - that'll help, but they're good for ~100K miles before they need to to be changed out.

There's no central distributor on this engine, those are pretty much a realic of the past by now. Nearly every vehicle has individual ignition coils mounted on top of each spark plug. If you get a hotter spark plug, they can actually damage the ignition coils, which cost ~$180 a piece to replace. The ignition coils should last for ~130K miles before they start crapping out. Once one goes, replace all of them. Don't be proactive and waste your money at the stealer when they tell you to change them at 100K, as the manual states.
