I wouldn't go blowing things out of proportion here. There is NO substitution for a safe driver...period. VDC is a heck of a lot less important than airbags, abs, etc. Think of all the people that manage to get by without it. I don't think something like VDC should sway you one way or the other. It's a nice feature, true, but there are more things to weigh.
