I have had to sets of BFG tires in the mid to late 90's but they were Mud Terrain T/A's one set was 31-10.50/15 the other 265/75-16 I thought they were great tires with excellent durability and good tread life. But that is the end of my good experience with BFG tires. My stock rugged trails suck eggs. Had a flat, while attempting a repair the inner liner shredded when touched by buffing tool. And no, they were never ran low on air and overheated like tire shop suggested. They offered to pay for Half of a new tire but I had them check the tread depth and it averaged about 7/32, not bad for 25000miles maybe, but my truck only had about 4000 on it so unless dealer pulled a switcharoo, and I doubt that, these tires will be lucky to make it to 20000 miles, for reference I think my spare, which hadnt been down, had like 17/32 or somewhere in that range. I opted to run spare tire on rim with pressure monitor and put ruined tire on spare rim with a tube inside. Tire guy, who I trust and the company I work for does a lot of business with, said BFG has started skimping on quality last couple years and mine was not first BFG they have had do this. Take it for what its worth but I would sell or trade tires while they are still new and go with a Goodyear or Cooper. Also, anybody else noticed tires wearing crazy fast? I now run 42 psi, up from 36-38 that I used to keep in them. Also...BFG dealer wouldn't warranty because they said tire repairman was at fault. Maybe maybe not, but that doesn't help with terrible tread wear.
