When they quoted me $600 to do the fronts that was the end for me. I did it myself with aftermarket parts which IMO are better than stock anyway, and for half the cost. When I did my own brakes I also discovered that I never did get the upgraded rotors...they just kept turning them until the 3 years was up and replaced pads. I called Nissan to complain and try to recoup some cost and they put you through a long drawn out process that goes nowhere. I want to like Nissan but as much as I like my Titan (I don't know why whit all the problems I've had) this has been one of the worst vehicle ownership experiences I have ever had.

Ok just realized this was written 6 months ago but I had to agree with almost all of it... I had my first "job" done with 17k, new pads turn rotors... then 18k later it started again... called dealer, got appt (for 2 weeks out) by the time I got in there I had 37275 miles... " oh you are out of warranty on this recall".... to which I said... WHAT?? I called you and told you that it had 35+k miles on it and you all said " that's ok it is still under warranty and we know about it"... so because I waited the 2 weeks that YOU quoted me, now I am past the warranty??? (while he is talking blah blah blah, to me I am reading his R.O. where the tech has written "possible abuse" along with the price of $595 just to do the fronts.... so I stopped him and said can I take a look at this R.O.? and he handed it to me.. I was right, it clearly stated "possible abuse" to which I kindly said: I 'm sorry, I had a $7k Escort that I drove 300k miles, did every bit of work to it myself, NEVER changed rotors or even had them turned, never had it in a shop for any repair except a clutch, never had a flat tire that left me stranded and drove the HELL out of that car!! I have babied this truck more than ANY vehicle I have owned. and I have had more problems with this than all others put together!!! (seam on the roof not sealed.= new interior from mildew, brakes...twice, 2nd time I went aftermarket, they work great, half the price. Rear diff BROKE through the cover between the fins, they tried to tell me it was just a seal.. yea right, tires worn out at 37k miles $960 to replace... at 3k miles it started to bang in and out of gear... trans bolts not tight from factory!!! on and on...) And your technician has the balls to write customer abuse?? did he look at the truck? it is in mint condition, not a ding on it, it has only been in 4wd to keep the fluid flowing!!! I drove my truck away vowing never to return to THAT dealer in particular and swear if it has one more major problem like those, It wiil not be in my driveway again. ( I work for FORD that is how much I liked this truck) I have had the worst experiences and am notgoing through any more. Still I want to love this truck but if I can't trust it I don't NEED it!!! Good luck to us!!! sorry so long but I felt like venting once.
